The outer box is pretty common and thin cardboard (roughly the same quality as your avarage slipcase so it's not super sturdy or anything).
The inner box for the immortal mask display is however surprisingly sturdy and quite a nice touch even though it's mostly kept in the dark I would say. It even has som nice graphics on it, which you'd never even see if you didn't take it out of the box.
The keepcase is identical to the separately sold keepcase edition and comes with a heavily embossed cardboard slipcase.
The immortal mask is quite small and is made entirely in plastic which is sort of a downer. Never the less it's quite a nice edition and it certainly draws some attention away from a few of the other box sets up on the shelf.
The special features are very well made and cover a lot of ground in the time they have. Of course, one would love to see more but it's still comes through as a pretty decent special edition. Granted there's a lot of footage that keeps coming back through out the various featurettes but on the whole it's still pretty informative.
All 2 disc editions of this film appear to be identical as far as the extras go and there's really nothing to make this edition stand out above the rest.
On disc 1, go to the special features and highlight the audio commentary. Now press up to highlight a red blood spatter marker. Press enter to see a short featurette about how they translated the graphic novel into film. This clip also shows some original test footage that was used to help get the project off the ground when it was still uncertain if the film would be made or not.
The keepcase in this release is also sold separately. There was also a BestBuy exclusive gift set featuring a miniture spartan helmet together with the keepcase edition inside an exclusive cardboard box. The helmet in the BestBuy gift set, however, has also been featured in simular (non-bestbuy) sets all around the world.
The immortal mask, however, was ONLY available in this set and has never been seen on any other region as of yet.
