Packaging / Design

This Taiwanese denim case is just stunning! I can't believe that no one ever thaught of making a jeans-style box set before this. It's just supercool! I don't know how closely connected it is with the film itself (guess they wore jeans in those days too, though) but I don't really care, becauce it's just such a kick-ass look.

On the downside, the novel is only printed in Chinese so your avarage collector wont be able to read it. But the postcards are nice and I kind of like the little envelope they came in too... Oh what the heck, I'll give it an 8/10 score just for the denim! (yeehaa!)

Disc contents / Extras

From what I can tell this edition is just as good as any other region. Furthermore it even seems to include some extras not featured on any other relase(!). All extras come with optional English or Chinese subtitles.

Hey Sorin. Sorry but this thing is really hard to find these days. Even second hand :(

This edition is amazing! I would like to buy a new copy of this. Do you know where I can still find it? Thanks!

I own this edition, it's hit or miss really. There is a 2-disc steelbook out there, and of course the 2-disc edtion in Japan and all over the world. The denim case is really nice, I see how you liked it, but the book is in a different language. The postcards are a nice touch, but a digipack inside would have made this even so much better. I do agree that this is the best edition for Brokeback Mountain in the whole world, but that really all depends on how much you love the unique denim case. I know I do but I could see some people feeling a bit like this could have been something better.

Hey Valerie... I wish you'd left your emailadress cause I got some info for you :(

This is very tough to get now. You have to buy it through the items native country or it's really a hard item to acquire anywhere else. I keep checking ebay a few times a month and nothing.

I got my first copy through ebay but as that set had a slight transit damage I decided to pick up a brand new set from mall.jsdvd.com later on. They still have it in stock if you want one. However, the shipping is overly expensive so I suggest purchasing a couple of titles to get a decent total.

That set's just stunning! Where did you get yours from? I can't find it anywhere these days. :(
