This is what the german would call a "gross hartbox". Very simular to an old style VHS-box, this all-glossy cardboard and plastic mix comes together as a very retro-styled choice.
Personally I really like hartboxes and the cover art is (as usual) quite a fine choice with a wonderfully nostalgic design to it.
The disc is in fact the old "Red Edition" disc released by Laser Paradise for the german market (later re-issued as a limited edition from Retrofilm), but I guess XT Video somehow obtained the right to distribute the disc for the Austrian market.
Not a very packed release but it's completely uncut and does include a few cut scenes as well. As pretty much all release seem to be identical in terms of features I would only choose this one over another because of the case.
Video quality isn't very impressive and should honestly be described as down right poor and is presented in nothing but fullscren... but like I said, there really isn't much else to choose from.
This release is out of print but the same disc has been re-released by NSM in a small hartbox as of 2007. The re-release hartbox is also part of my collection and can be seen here.
The same disc has also been re-packaged in a limited edition from RetroFilm in germany, which is said to only excist in 100 copies. More info on this release can be found here.
So far, the film has only been released on DVD in Austria and Germany.
