Packaging / Design

This is an exclusive box set only available through the DavidLynch.com store. It looks very nice but could've been sturdier and overall better made. The paper sleeve around the case is thin but glossy. The disc lays in a paper sleeve glued to a piece of cardboard but the glue is not very good and will easily come off (I re-glued mine with superglue just to be safe).

Turning the box upside down will cause the disc to fall out of it's sleeve inside the case and rattle around (there's a small sticker keeping the disc-sleeve "closed" if you purchase it new but once you peel the sticker away there's really nothing holding the disc in position). with this in mind it becomes difficult to transport or take with you. However, the overall artwork and the booklet looks very nice. In short; it's a box set that suffers technical problems rather then appearance issues.

Disc contents / Extras

This disc contains all 8 episodes of Dumbland. They're presented in Non-Anamorphic 4:3 but for some reason you get black bars around all the edges. I don't mind this too much but it can seem a bit disturbing for some I guess.

As for extras it's very easy to navigate. Because there are none (!). The menus are animated with the first one giving you to options; "Playing the entire series" or moving on to "Episodes". So there you have it. Play all or get specific.

As for picture quality and such I can't say. This used to be an online Flash-animation piece so you can't set the standards to high. In any case atleast no we get to enjoy the entire series on dvd instead of going online.
