Packaging / Design

This is a very goodlooking case and also a practical one. As you can tell from the photos, this case doesn't have any kind of slipcase which is usually a bit disturbing as there's not much holding the the thing together. But wit this set, there actually is!

It's as clever as it is simple; inside both parts of the foldout case (embedded into the cardboard somewhere - it's not visible) are two small yet powerful magnets. This cause the case to snap together like a clam-shell once you start closing it.

Add to this a very nice cover, a very thick and sturdy case quality, and you've got one of the most enjoyable digipack-alterations to date.

Disc contents / Extras

i belive this was one of the first releases done for this film and so far it seems to be the best one out there.

But on closer look, things aren't always as good as they seem. And the english subtitles is my main concern on this one.

They go by to fast! The grammar is OK, maybe not perfect but I can live with that, but I can't except the fact that I have to freeze frame the movie in order to register what the hell's being said in the dialogue.

No, it's that I suck at english, it's just done to damn fast on some of these asian titles.

And as for the second disc, there's english and chinese subtitles for all special features but they're of course just as speedy as the ones on the first disc.

Sidenotes

The first pressing of this box set came with a lenticular button. Certain stores also included a limited edition eye-ball keychain for the first run but all those sets are long gone by now. (The release shown on this website is the standard release and not the first press by any means)
